Names like Ultra-Slim, ProGuard, and UltraGuard helped describe features, but over time, they also caused confusion.
At PITAKA, we’ve always focused on advancing aramid fiber weaving to improve everyday carry. As our products evolved, we wanted our names to reflect the experience, not just the specs. That’s why we renamed our three series as Cairn, Edge, and Summa — inspired by a journey of climbing:
* Cairn: firm and dependable, like stone markers that guide the way (Original name: Ultra-Slim Case)
* Edge: slim, light, and sharp along the climb (Original name: ProGuard Case)
* Summa: the peak, where protection and hand-feel come together (Original name: UltraGuard Case)
